Saudi Tourism Authority Names Ageel Alshaibani as New CEO

The Saudi Tourism Authority has appointed Ageel Alshaibani as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 2. Alshaibani previously served as Deputy Minister of Tourism for Strategic Planning and Monitoring, where he contributed to the development of the National Tourism Strategy. Before joining the Ministry of Tourism in 2023, he served as Chief Strategy Officer at the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation and spent nearly five years at McKinsey & Company as an Associate Partner. He has also sat on the boards of the STA, the Saudi Red Sea Authority, Jeddah Airports Company, and the General Entertainment Authority. Alshaibani now leads the Authority as it works toward the Kingdom’s target annual visitors by 2030.
