Editorial Standards
Hospitality MEA reports on hospitality development, hotels, F&B, people and business across Saudi Arabia and the wider region. This page sets out how we work and what you can expect from us.
Independence
Our editorial coverage is independent of advertising. No advertiser, sponsor or partner has influence over what we cover or how we cover it. Commercial relationships never determine editorial decisions.
Sponsored content
Where content is sponsored, it is clearly labelled as such, both in the headline area and in the article itself. Sponsored content is written to the same standard of accuracy as our editorial work, but it reflects the perspective of the sponsor and should be read as paid content rather than independent reporting.
Sourcing
We aim to name our sources wherever possible. Where a source requests anonymity, we grant it only when there is a legitimate reason and we are confident in the information provided. We do not publish claims from a single unverified source presented as established fact.
We do not simply republish press releases. Where we cover an announcement, a signing, an opening or an appointment, we add reporting beyond what was supplied to us, whether that is a source, a number, or context.
Corrections
We correct errors quickly and visibly. If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, contact us at contact@hospitalitymea.com .
Minor corrections, such as a spelling or a title, are corrected without a note. Material corrections, such as a factual error affecting the substance of a story, are corrected with a note at the bottom of the article stating what was changed and when.
Conflicts of interest
Our editorial team discloses any personal or financial interest that could reasonably affect their coverage of a story. Where a conflict exists, we either assign the story to someone else or disclose the conflict to readers directly in the piece.
Use of AI tools
We use AI tools to support parts of our work, including research assistance, drafting support and some site and workflow automation. AI does not write our articles on its own and does not make editorial decisions. Every published piece is reviewed, edited and approved by a human editor, who takes responsibility for its accuracy and judgment. Where an image or graphic has been generated or edited with AI, we label it as such.
Bylines
Every article carries the name of the person who wrote it. Where a piece draws on wire copy, press materials or another outlet, that is stated clearly.
