Fadhel Tahar Named General Manager of Sofitel Jabal Omar Makkah

Fadhel Tahar has been named General Manager of Sofitel Jabal Omar Makkah, taking the helm of what will become the largest Sofitel property in the world once it opens.

Tahar brings a long career within the Sofitel brand and wider international hospitality, most recently serving as General Manager of Novotel Jeddah Tahlia, and earlier holding operations and food and beverage leadership roles including nine years at Sofitel San Francisco Bay.

His appointment places an experienced Sofitel hand at a property carrying significant weight for the brand’s Saudi ambitions, a 1,141-room, two-tower development within the Jabal Omar master plan offering direct pedestrian access to the Haram.
