Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 August 2026
Hospitality MEA is published by Hero Digital Services (“we,” “us,” “our”), registered in Lebanon. This policy explains what personal data we collect through hospitalitymea.com, why, and what rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
Hero Digital Services Beirut, Lebanon CR:4009615 on 21 March 2021
Contact for privacy matters: contact@hospitalitymea.com
2. What we collect
Information you give us directly — your name and email when you subscribe to our newsletter; name, email, company and job title if you contact us for advertising, editorial tips, or general enquiries; anything you include in a message to us.
Information collected automatically — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and general location (country/city level), via standard analytics and cookies.
From third parties — if you sign in through a third-party service where offered, or if an advertising partner shares aggregated, non-identifying audience data with us.
We don’t seek out sensitive personal data (health, religious belief, political affiliation, and similar categories) through the site, and we’d ask that you avoid including it in anything you send us.
3. Why we use it
- To send the newsletter, if you’ve subscribed
- To respond to enquiries you send us
- To operate, secure and improve the site
- To understand our audience in aggregate, for editorial and advertising purposes
- To meet our legal obligations where applicable
We process personal data lawfully, transparently, and only for the purposes stated here — we don’t use it for anything you wouldn’t reasonably expect from a news and information site.
4. The newsletter
We only send the newsletter to people who’ve actively subscribed. Every edition includes a working unsubscribe link, and opting out is immediate.
5. Cookies
We use cookies to keep the site working, understand how it’s used, and — where applicable — support advertising. You can manage preferences through the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Blocking non-essential cookies won’t stop you reading the site.
6. Who we share data with
We share personal data only where it’s necessary to run the site and only with parties who handle it responsibly:
- Service providers who host the site or run our newsletter platform
- Advertising and analytics partners, generally on an aggregated basis
- Legal authorities, only where we’re required to disclose information by law
We don’t sell personal data.
7. Where data is processed
Some of our service providers may process data outside Lebanon — for example, hosting or email infrastructure located elsewhere.
8. How long we keep it
- Newsletter subscriber data — for as long as you’re subscribed, plus a limited period after for records
- Enquiries — 12 months
- Analytics — generally aggregated after 36 months
9. Your rights
You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, access a copy of it, ask us to correct it, object to how it’s processed, and — where technically possible — have it transferred elsewhere. To exercise any of these, contact us at contact@hospitalitymea.com.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No system is perfectly secure, and any data you send us online is sent at your own risk, but we work to keep it protected.
11. Children
Hospitality MEA is a B2B trade publication intended for industry professionals. It isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top will always reflect the current version, and where a change is material we’ll flag it clearly on the site.
